This episode features Funmi Anazodo (@derazodo), Head Chef at @jayascravings, an upscale confectionary bakery located in Lagos, Nigeria. 

We talk about the birth of her "first child", Jaya, the growth of the business and how she is able to maintain her vision and clarity of purpose on this journey. 

After a long wait, we are pleased to finally launch The Money Gang, a new segment for members of the community interested in discussing and learning about finance, business, savings, investments and all money matters!

Our first guest on this segment is Ope John (@ope_alimi), a chartered financial accountant with a passion for Faith, Finance, Family & Relationships.

On this episode, we catch up with the talented Teniola Zara King (@teniolazaraking). 

Teniola is a British born, Nigerian raised, writer and director who trained at the 
prestigious London Film School (LFS). She wrote and directed her first short film "Gidi High Life" and is awaiting the release of her next short film "Teju's Tale" by DKB Studios and SkyStudios. 

We had a lovely chat with Teniola about her path from a production assistant on a Nigerian TV Show to LFS and now as a self employee film maker. 

Meet Saratu Danjuma, a performance poet, writer and lawyer.

On this episode, we catch up with her on professional journey. She tells us of how she’s been able to pivot from a full time career in law into the world of entrepreneurship and philanthropy.

Saratu also speaks of her poetry, having recently held her maiden poetry event called “Bloom”. She speaks of how she has been able to use vulnerability as a tool to express herself creatively and artistically.

This episode features Rotimi Williams, a former banker and journalist, turned rice farmer, tech entrepreneur and artist.

We catch up with him and discuss his transition from a conventional career in financial services at a leading Nigerian bank to becoming the CEO of Kereksuk Rice Farm, Nigeria’s second largest commercial rice farm. Rotimi speaks of how he turned a disappointing fund-raising transaction into a remarkable opportunity as a self-taught rice farmer.
 
We also discuss RESOLUTE4.0, a tech firm which he founded in 2018 to address some of the rampant security challenges posed to many farmers and cattle-herders in Nigeria, as well as his interest-turned-career as an artist whose works have been exhibited at art galleries such as @retroafrica . 

In the final part of the podcast, we talk about his other passions, lessons learned along the way and future plans.

We are back with another episode of the podcast! This one features our very first non-Nigerian guest so we are very excited to be going global! 😆

Our guest on Episode 10 is Aïssatou Toure, Hippie of the Month for October 2021. Aïssatou Touré is a Belgian-Senegalese development consultant and entrepreneur. On this episode, we speak with Aïssatou about her transition from a full-time job in a leading global development firm to her move back to Dakar to run her family-owned artisanal chocolate company called Reine Cabosse (Instagram; Website). 

We chatted about the challenges of running a niche family business, and doing business in Senegal/Africa in general. We also touched on the cost of living in Dakar, the difference between the Francophone and Anglophone African experience, amongst others.
