Today we have the witty and knowledgable Ryan Pollock on the show. Ryan works at St. Theresa's Catholic Church as the Director of Senior Adult Ministry and Parish Life and he has had a huge life change recently. Ryan was a priest in the Episcopal church in Dallas for three years until the Lord started to stir his heart towards beauty, reverence, and the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist among other things. As he started researching these topics and Church history he found himself in a moral dilemma. Does he walk toward what he feels is truth even if it means turning away from what he has worked so hard for? Or does he stay and try to make his church more and more like the Catholic church? As you can probably guess he chose to leave his position and join the Catholic Church. All of this happened in the middle of a global pandemic and with a new baby. In our conversation Ryan tells us about the history of the Anglican church, his love for liturgy, church history, Jesus in the Eucharist, and how to grow a killer beard.

Today we are thrilled to have Fr. Charlie Garza on the podcast! If you had a hard time with the audio last week, have no fear it is all fixed! We have a new fancy podcast editor in Italy.
Fr. Charlie is an amazing man with a healing charism. On this episode you Megan tells the story of when she took her daughter Ella to a healing Mass at Fr. Charlie's parish and he prayed with her and healed her concussion. Fr. Charlie shares with us his love for healing and deliverance prayer and uses Ella's story as an example to explain healing and deliverance. We talk about the Eucharist and how we can support our priests to build up the Catholic faith during the Eucharistic Revival. We also discuss the shutdown and the heartbreak it caused for the sacraments to be inaccessible. Fr. Charlie was given an award for innovation during the shutdown for the creative ways he implemented to give his parishioners access to Jesus in the sacraments. He is a man who deeply loves Jesus and desires to bring everyone into his arms.

In every story of suffering there is a story of hope, and in this episode Megan allows us to journey into a deep suffering she and her family endured when her brother, Matt, fought the good fight, ultimately succumbing to cancer at the young age of 38. She shares the deep sorrow of losing Matt, but also God's transformative grace in her brothers' life and the life of her and her family. Mercy is real and suffering has a place here. It's hard yet deeply beautiful.
