Satan is the greatest imposter. After  being stripped of his position as the angel Lucifer he uses deception which is the only tool he has left. 
Satan has deceive  the world into thinking that the evil we see around the world is him when in fact it is the law of  sin and death

Satan is not the villain and in fact he is a slave to the true villain which is the Law of Sin and Death. The Law of Sin and death was released into the earth when Lucifer fell from his position of rank and became Satan. Satan has no power over the law of sin and death this law does not care about disproving the scriptures so Satan is powerless to do anything about it. When you know the real villain and realize that the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has set you free from its power you will begin to walk in the victory that Jesus has won.

Satan  has had thousands of years to undermine the plan of God during the age of grace and he has had no success. We know Satan lies concerning the scriptures and we know the scriptures contain past, present and future prophesies. Why has Satan been unable to change anything concerning the prophesies in the bible including the things that are written about himself? 
By simply doing things in an alternative way Satan would be able to create the single error mistake that would cast doubt across all the scriptures long ago. God is not forcing Satan to do what he is doing and he is clearly motivated to discredit the scriptures by changing certain outcomes, yet he cannot. The reason is because he is not the real villain and in fact he is just as much a slave of that villain as everything else.

 If God had wanted man to have the knowledge of good and evil He would have given it to him when He made man in own His image.

The  knowledge of good and evil has been imprinted in the nature of fallen man and many do not understand that both the good and evil of that tree are out of God's will. God made man and declared that he was good and placed him in a garden as His steward of the earth. Adam's stewardship was probational and conditional. God determined that a simple stipulation was not to be violated in order for man to remain in right standing with God and the task he had bean assigned. God commanded Adam not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; Adam however disobeyed the word of God and the consequences have resulted in mans separation from God and forfeiting his position in God's plan.

The Christian stands in faith, demonstrating a victory that Jesus has already won on their behalf. The Adamic nature inside the believer and the law of sin and death outside produces a constant temptation to refight the battle against our flesh with the arm of the flesh. Using the law as  a means of victory will plunge the Christian into greater defeat and keep them from living the victorious Christian life.
