Is it really Good Friday, or are we missing something?

Passion week is here. 

We just had Palm Sunday where Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem is recognized in all 4 Gospels of the Bible, books Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

This means Good Friday, as celebrated by the Christian faith, is just around the corner with Resurrection Sunday following close on its heels.

But what if our timeline is off?

What if Scripture is FULLY correct, and we have tried to fit the timeline from Jesus' crucifixion to His resurrection into our western way of thinking instead of fitting our thinking into the scripture's timeline?

To The UNKNOWN God – Do you know God, or are you given over to idols?

Today we are looking at one of the cities Paul visited that was overrun with idols.  Acts 17:16-34 (NKJV)

Is your spirit provoked within you when idolatry, sin, and unrighteousness are going on around you? 

I recently had a friend ask me why a particular verse was located in the scriptures of the Bible when it seemed so out of place with the verses around it. After answering her I thought I would tackle that particular question right here in this episode. The verse in question comes from Luke 16:18 (NKJV) which says, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced from her husband commits adultery.” This is Jesus talking, and this verse seems out of place because marriage is not the topic of discussion in this chapter.

So today we will tackle WHY this verse is located where it is, and while we are at it, also discuss this particular verse’s meaning.

Spare the Rod, Spoil the Child? (S2, Episode 17)

I must spank my child in order to provide Biblical discipline. Does the Bible really say that?

Today we are going to talk about the controversial topic of spanking and what the Bible really says about disciplining a child. Should we spank? Should we not spank? What does the Bible actually say about correction and discipline?

I have to love to act like Jesus? Does the Bible really say that?

On Saturday night I dreamt about love all night long. But not love by the world’s standards, but rather love according to the Bible and the standards of God. Today we are going to talk about LOVE.

The Bible says in John 13:34-35 (NKJV) “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Wives must always submit to their husbands no matter what, the Bible says so! Does the Bible really say that?

Today we are going to talk about submission. The key verse we are looking at is in Ephesians 5 (NKJV) wives submit to your husband, but that also leads into other areas of our life: how Should we submit? When Should we submit? And Why should we submit? What does the Bible actually say?

As long as I am in this body, living this life here on earth, I will always have to fight against negative thoughts. Does the Bible really say that?

Today we are going to talk about our thoughts and whether or not we are destined to live a life continually plagued with negativity.

What types of thought go through your mind on a daily basis? Or maybe even on a minute by minute basis? Do you find yourself plagued with worry, anxiety, fear, or hopelessness? Or do you tend to have an optimistic outlook when flipping through the files of your brain?

As a Christian I am so afraid of the devil. Satan’s out to get me, and there is nothing I can do about it.

Today we are going to talk about Authority and what that looks like in a Christian’s life. But first, we need to tackle our fears about Satan and his plans for us.

What is Authority?  And do I have authority as a Christian?  If so, who do I have authority over and how do I use it?
