This month’s teaching is from December 21, 2025,  entitled, “Glad Tiding” (45:52)

In looking at the opening verses of Judges, Chapter 6, we considered a great lesson we can apply in our lives.  The same God who was there with Gideon is not only with us, but He is in us by way of His holy spirit. Ephesians 4:6 says, “One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. No wonder Romans 8:31 says, “...If God be for us, who can be against us?”

You can read God’s Word and see His power and deliverance to whole nations, to cities, to groups of people, and even to individuals. You can read and remember His miracles. And you can also think back to the times that God helped you before.

No matter what challenges we face, regardless of the circumstances, regardless of what kind of trouble, regardless of the facts, regardless of the odds, God is still a powerful and delivering God!

The God of the Bible is still the same God today, and for we born again ones, He is our Father.

It doesn’t matter how young or how old you are. God has not changed.  His promises are still true, and His love for you is unwavering.  It’s up to us now to choose to believe or accept His Word, and doing so we will get the results we need from our loving and powerful God (4:42)

We did a very brief word study of the Greek word (noun and verb) translated as, preach, preach the Gospel, etc. We saw that in the first century they “preached” God’s joyful proclamation concerning His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.  We also considered the “gift ministries” God has placed in the Body of Christ.

Why do some preachers preach that we, as Christians, are “broken?” We indeed were born with a “broken” old nature, but when we got born again, we received a new nature because of Jesus Christ!  Should we focus on who we were, rather than who we are now? Absolutely not! (4:42)

You’ve probably heard the phrase, “God is Keeping Score.” Some use that phrase in a negative sense, implying God is keeping track of all the bad things you do so He can punish you.

For those who are born again of God’s spirit, God is indeed keeping score. But what’s on His "scorecard" for His children is remarkably different than for those who are not His children.
