  • That's Odd Episode 26 - Odd Cult Ties
In the late 1970s, the world was shocked by the events at Jonestown when over 900 followers of the People's Temple cult committed suicide at the behest of their leader Jim Jones. One family was able to escape the grip of the cult before that horrific day, however they would meet with another horrific end. And, in late December 1961, Brian Dutton returned home from a long day at work in Liverpool to find his wife Maureen the victim of a vicious stabbing. His two children were left alive, nothing was stolen from the home, and there was no sign of break in or struggle. Investigators were convinced a cult was to blame. Others weren't so sure.

  • That's Odd Episode 23 - Two Totally Different Kinds of Killers
This week, Chris and Johnny explore two very different kinds of killers. One would terrify almost everyone she met, eventually committing one of Australia's most gruesome crimes and becoming the first woman in the country to be sentenced to life imprisonment without the chance of parole. The other would be considered one of the nicest men to live in the town of Carthage, Texas, caring for half the town in their times of despair, and eventually befriending a woman who would lose her life at his hands.
Disclaimer: Johnny asked that we warn listeners - His story is rather gruesome and can be a little much to hear for those who may be sensitive to such things. If you'd like to skip it, Chris's story starts at around 28:30.

  • Episode 53 - Jack Parsons - Science and the Occult
Jack Parsons was a rocket engineer in the 1930s who is widely credited as pioneering the advancement of both liquid-fuel and solid-fuel rockets.
