The new episode has landed! And yes that is an aviation pun. Slightly truncated because I got in a panic about missing my flight. Will send part 2 shortly…

PS here’s Marie de St. Pol! I forgot to mention she was from the same family as Pope Urban II (although much later obvs)

This September my first novel will come out. It’s the start of a trilogy set in the chaos of the Hundred Years War. Today we revealed the cover - so I thought I would explain what it’s all about and where you can get it.
I do go on about a storm of thunder-hail for the first five minutes, so skip ahead if you want to get straight to the good stuff.
Exciting!

Welcome to the latest episode of First Draft - the podcast that was formerly known as a voicemail. This week’s edition was recorded in the grounds of Wilmington Priory in Sussex, near the south coast of England. As I mention in the audio, you can rent this (and many other wild historic locations in the UK) via The Landmark Trust.
Thanks to The Landmark Trust for hosting me for the super secret ninja filming project. It was a great day.
See you all next week!

Here is the episode 3 of First Draft, recorded live from a dingle and now coming at you in the correct format for podcast apps. Sorry it’s late! There were some technical issues on Friday so boring to relate that I can’t even.
