Historyman presents the Marvin Historical Society and their exciting reasearch on camp New Providence. In between the battles of Kings Mountain and Cowpens the Continental Army under General Nathanael Greene camped near Marvin, North Carolina. The camp, known as New Providence or Camp Nathanael Greene, was where the American Partiots rested, regrouped and planned for their next big push against the British. Amanda Richard and Lauren Thomas of the Marvin Historical Society share their knowledge of this evolving treasure of historical significance. Their excitment is contagious and the camp was significant for not only the community, but for our Nation and all freedom loving people of the world. Walk in the footsteps of heroes and proclaim, Freedom Reigns!
