Hit the Mark!

Phil Jackson (The Regulars, Improv Nerds) did not find his way into comedy by a traditional sense. He is a renaissance man, he created his own record label in college, never took a real acting class until moving to NYC, and only started doing Improv only a few years ago. But, he is amazing and has made a great name for himself in a short amount of time. We discuss many things in this episode including Desert Island TV shows, not Gilligan's Island.

Anna Roisman is one heck of a funny person. She is an amazing storyteller (listen to what she says in this episode about several things), great actress (she was in Mark's play "Indie Comedy" this past August), and she is the newest guest. We discuss the how happy she is about having holidays this year, her time out in LA, The Moth, and much more.

Marshall Stratton (Graceland) tells his rise from Class Clown who caused the Disneyland Police force a major scare to radio producer to rebel after college to Funny man in NYC. I learned a lot and its one of those episodes that makes you realize that hard work does indeed pay off

Brady O'Callahan (Warren) is a cool guy who plays a lot of bad guys. We discuss this, in depth. Also, i learn about Brady's unique early performances. And then things get awkward when we talk about being from Ohio and Florida and how there is a big rivalry between all of our teams. Awkward

John Zachary Townsend (Standards and Practices), better known as JZT, came by Astoria on a soggy December night to talk about Judd Apatow, Schooling, Theatre, and comedy. We also discuss death, briefly, and make a new nickname for our friend, FESH

Molly Gaebe (Spooky Ghost, Buzz Off Lucille) go waaay back. Like, back to High School, so this is one of those episodes. We discuss our mad love for Troupe 1298, Comedy, "The Room", sports and a million other things that kind of matter. We solve world problems, guys. Sh also reveals a prank on Mark from about 10 years ago, does he know it or not? find out.

Mark Dowling and Mark Levy have several awkward moments in the beginning of this episode. To Catch a Predator is mentioned several times and cookies are distributed..gulp. Amos Vernon (Guthrie, Boat) came by for todays episode. He is the second member of Guthrie and Mr. Crime to be on the show (Brennan Mulligan and Riley Soloner, respectively were first). We discuss Monty Python, Star Wars as an improv go to, his career in high school as a Romantic Lead in musicals, and a lot more. And even how it sounds like he studied 4 things in college.

Mimi (TCGS, Half Past Nelson) comes to Astoria for todays episode. She is commonly referred to as "Mimi on the Hoops" but cant be called "Mimi around Town" or "Prunella". We discuss Improv, Comedy, Yoga, Hooping and India (amongst many other things) Also, Mark talks about being "randomly" searched at an airport

Marshal (Montgomery Drive) and Mark have known each other for most of their lives, not a joke. They both are in Miami for the holiday and decide might as well chat it up for you. They discuss Wrestling, Music, Double Dog Dare , and movies. Marshal was in Japan after the Earthquake and tells some of the stories. This is a nice one.
