Hit the Reel

Michael has talked about his enjoyment of watching the giant epic that is the One Piece anime. With over 1000+ episodes, it is a little much to try and jump into if you are not even sure you will like it. So how fortunate for Jesse that Netflix has released a live-action version of the first few stories of the Manga and Anime, and lucky for him, Michael has binged and rewatched said Netflix version to let him know if it is worth diving in.

Michael made Jesse watch The Flash movie. Verdict: It was terrible. Well, that is all. Listen as the boys try to make it through this horrible experience and as they try to make a coherent thought about it.

Jesse and Michael are joined by a longtime friend, Nick. He also was nice enough to bring along a topic for this week. They are reminiscing and contemplating one of the most expansive and profitable franchises that has come around in a long time: Pokémon. They cover several topics around Nintendo, the implication of the dog-fighting nature of the series, and the warm fuzzy from times gone past.

This is a quick follow-up on a topic Michael brought up in the Balder's Gate 3 episode. So, the guys talk about the problem of the Video Games industry and why consumers are frustrated with its current state. Just a bit more on why it makes no sense why so many people are attacking a great game.

This time the boys are heading down the warp pipe to talk about The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Is it worth the coin, or is it a banana peal of a movie?

Michael tells Jesse all about his new obsession and favorite game, Balder's Gate 3. A game that is setting the industry on fire with recorded breaking stats and quickly being called the game of the year. This is only more impressive coming from a game genre that is not considered mainstream.

Patrick joins Jesse and Michael this week to talk over some of their favorite episodes from Batman: The Animated Series. Breaking them down and talking over why the DCAU has some best-adapted comic stories, maybe take note of live-action DC stuff.

Jesse and Michael discuss the current events around the writers' & actors' strike. Gerring right into it with a lot of fluff talking about evil computation, AI, and fighting for a better life.
