Hit the Reel

Jesse has not watched South Park in over a decade, and long-time listeners know that Michael is a faithful fan. So he took Jesse's lack of watching as a personal offense. So Michael watched a decade's worth of south park multiple times to find the best episodes and reasons to get back into South Park. Was it worth it? Will Jesse start watching again?

Sorry for the delay hectic weekend.

Jesse and Michael review the new movie Renfield, with a pretty star-studded cast and a different approach to some classic characters in the Dracula story. With over-the-top violence and even more over-the-top acting from the great face actor Nicolas Cage.

Jesse gives us another wrestling update, and this one is a doozy. It looks like our least favorite dye job control freak, Vince McMahon, is cutting some deal. What will be the fate of the WWE? Can McMahon give up the controlling power of this company? Plus an update on CM Punk and some other wrestling drama.

Well, another season of the Bad Batch. Did it get better? Is it less "meh"? The short answer is no. The long answer is the podcast. Between the two, it is about the same as last season. However, it is still kinda worth the watch.

Jesse and Michael discuss their thoughts on the HBO adaptation of the popular game Last of Us. This could be the best Viedo Game adaptation into live-action media they have seen. It is impressive to see how much care and reverence were paid to the original story that so many cared about. Why is that so hard to do?

Last week Michael was out of town on a work trip, so to keep it easy, Michael talks with Jesse about a very high-level overview of the Warhammer 40k IP. Covering the different factions and talking very little about the history of the 40k universe. Wrapping up with some short thoughts on what might come of the Henry Cavill and Amazon Studios' partnership.

To kick off the start of Season 3 of the podcast, Jesse and Michael have Kevin and Patrick on to play the game Um, Actually, which is a game all about correcting incorrect statements about a wide range of nerdy topics. Who will win and be the pedantic champion of correcting?

The boys talk about other media they have been watching, reading, and playing. Sorry for the long delay, but I have been very sick over the last week.

Jesse and Michael are discussing the new Ant-man movie, which left them with extreme emotional and elevated mood swings. This is a B movie, and they are not just saying that to make an insect pun, and it is the middle of the road for an MCU movie. Find out what the boys thought the highs and the lows were.
