Hit the Reel

A solo episode with just Michael sharing his thoughts on Velma, the newest (maybe the worst) addition to the deep and wide cartilage that is the Scoody Do franchise. He is waiting on the final episode to be and giving time for emotions to cool on this one. He wants a less heated reaction like the rest of the internet. Not saying he thinks this is an excellent addition to the Doo-a-verse. This show is F-tier, but it is interesting to try and figure out why something is so wrong when it could have been great.

On this very special episode of Hit The Reel, Michael takes us way way back to the early 2000s when some creative types thought up a show, Clone High. Unfortunately, they could not make it past season one and got canceled, so they cried. Now those creative types are successful directors and are making because they tried, so we are getting a season two. We are now loving, learning, sharing, judging because season two, episode one, was leaked. Clone High Clone High.

Yeah, Michael talks with Jesse about an early 2000s MTV animated teen drama show about cloned historical figures from the creators of Lego Movie and Into the Spider-Verse.

It is another smackdown, all-elite and raw episode about one of Jesse's favorite topics: the zany world of Professional Wrestling. It has been a while since Jesse updated Michael on what is happening in the wrestling world, and it seems to be taking place mainly outside the ring. They talk about the rod-rage old white elephant in the room, Vince McMahon. As well as following up on the CM punk drama from the last wrestling episode. It does sound like the world of wrestling might be at a turning point, with the global market gaining interest in it.

Catching up on the MCU, Jesse and Michael discuss She-Hulk: Attorney at Law this week. Is it just the same as all the other new additions to the MCU in Phase 4, or is it something that can hook the boys back into caring about the MCU? They also talk a little about the show's detractors from particular corners of the internet.

Michael and Jesse spend a little time talking about the merger that has given us Warner Bros. Discovery. Touching on how we have gotten here, what they are currently doing, and what this might mean for the future of the stuff we watch. Corporate America seems to be taking what we love and crapping it out.

Jesse and Michael run down some of the entertainment coming down the pipeline in 2023. Some of them are excited to see it, and some are excited to see it because of how bad it will probably be. From TV, Movies, and some Video Games sprinkled in, they cover almost everything they might cover over the year.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Jesse told Michael he wanted to do an episode on adaptations of the classic Christmas Carol, and Michael was on board because he could talk more about The Muppets Christmas Carol. So they talk about the mass number of adaptations of this hundred-and-fifty-plus-year-old book.

This episode is not just special because it is coming out on Christmas, but it is also the 100 episode for the boys! Thank you all for listening; it has been a great time, and here's to another 100.
