Hit the Reel

In this episode, Michael talks about his heritage of being a werewolf by discussing Werewolf by Night, a Marvel Studios Special Presentation. Jesse helps weigh-in for the human side on this Creature Feature. No amount of silver can save you from this episode, Bahahaha!

This week Jesse and Michael are joined by Natalie, who lends the boys her expertise in The Great British Bake Off as all three of them have been watching the spooky new season. The contestants this time are famous Slasher Movie Villans showing off their baking skills. Who will show they are part of the upper crust and who will be nothing more than trimmings?

P.S. This is a joke episode, instead of just doing a ranking or talking about which Slasher would win in a battle royale. The boys thought it would be fun to spoof what it would be like to see these murders and psychos baking off under the white tent. Please be kind if they messed something up; it's hard to improvise how these killers would be cooking while also thinking about their signature styles.

Starting Spooky Season, Michael and Jesse talk about one of the movies that caused the PG-13 rating to be made. Gremlins and its sequel, Gremlins 2: The New Batch.

Long-time listeners know that Michael loves the Muppets; see the 2021 The Muppet Christmas Carol episode for reference. So Michael wanted to say happy birthday to Jim with an admittedly shallow overview of his influential career. Join Jesse again as Michael talks about felt and puppeteer for an hour.

Jesse and Michael run down all the announcements from D23, this year's Disney entertainment event. A lot of content is coming down the pipeline.

This week Jesse leads the way again with a conversation about wrestling and the newest hottest drama. From the fall of a CEO to a chair to the eye. It sounds like it should be a rip-roaring good time.

Why couldn't we get this added to the Predator franchise sooner? Both parts refresh new take and classic return to form; all rolled into not a half-bad movie. Prey is worth the watch, despite its mass amount of historical inaccuracies. With one of the most diverse casts we have seen in a very long while.

Jesse and Michael show up better late than never with their thoughts on Ms. Marvel. With a great start out of the gate, this show seemed to excite the boys with this new addition to the MSU. However, with so many things nowadays, it is clear that the boys can't have nice things.

Jesse finally gave in to Michael's badgering and watched the Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers. It's not a reboot, more like a reimagining with quality knee slappers and great background character cameos. It's not just sunshine and rainbows; this movie has some dark and real-world parallels that, once known, can't be forgotten. FUN right?!?!

A short birthday episode for Taika Waititi. They are talking about his rise to fame and hopes for his future. We promise they do not spend that much time on Love and Thunder.
