In this final episode of From Heritage to Legacy, Savannah McCormick and Anna Helton interview Apex Mayor Jacques Gilbert. Gilbert is an Apex native and who has served as a school resource officer, police captain, Blue Lights College founder, and now mayor.

At the taping of the episode, Gilbert was not only handling his normal day-to-day responsibilities - including a pandemic and protests against racial injustice - but the town was also under a flood watch that day. The whole crew is exceedingly grateful for Gilbert's time and candor.

Thanks to Ava McLain for editing, along with Ethan West for his tech leadership.

Be sure to subscribe to get information about our next season! The new podcast will be a news quiz show called News or Lose.
