Baseball games: On Thursday, come see Heritage play Greater Vision Academy at 4 PM at Middle Creek Park, Apex

Volleyball tryouts: There are upcoming volleyball tryouts for rising 7th-9th graders on 

May 13. You’ve got this!

May 19 last day for electives: May 19th is the last day for electives, spanish, and Bible classes. You're almost there- finish strong and don't give up!

Exam days: Finals exams are in-season! We are all praying for y’all and remember- grades do not define your life, trust in God! The final exams are for high schoolers only. May 20th is when math and history exams are, while the science and english exams are on May 22nd! Room numbers will be sent out in an email by Mrs. Allison. Good luck! 

Last day of school: Submissions for the Talent Show are due by May 19. The Talent Show is May 27th which also…is the last day of school! Join the fun for the half day, 8:05-12:30. 

Announcements

Here are the announcements for the week of April 14th.

Students may be excited to know there are no in-person classes on Thursday! Students will either be taking the IOWA assessment, or have satellite work.

On Tuesday the 22nd, Juniors will take the ACT and on Wednesday the 23rd, Freshmen will take the PreACT.  Colossians 3:17 says: "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."   Praying for y’all!

This week, our boys' baseball team is hitting the road for two exciting away games:
  Tuesday, 3:30–5:30 PM – Fletchers vs. South Wake Sabres
  Wednesday – Fletchers takes on Pilot Mill Baseball

Come out and support the team if you can—go Fletchers!

Volleyball tryouts start on April 29th and end on May 1st from 3:30-4:45 pm.

Don’t forget! Cheer tryouts start on Monday, April 28, 3:30-5 and are also on May 5, 3:30-4:30 and May 6, 3:30-5. Make sure to arrive on time and come prepared with a positive attitude, lots of energy, and school spirit! The mandatory parent meeting will be held on April 28th at 4:45. Tryouts are open for Apex girls, grades 7 through 12 who are interested in becoming part of our cheer team. If you have any questions please contact Coach Jamie Arnold through ClassReach.

Easter Break is this Friday April 18th, through Monday, April 21st, there will be no school, allowing time to reflect on God's love for you, and the true meaning of easter. 

Congratulations to all the hard workers from DEAR day. There were 33,000 minutes of reading from both high schoolers and middle schoolers. 

On April 17, Hope is closed to classes, so all assignments will be done at home. 7, 8, 10, and 12th graders will take the IOWA assessment, while Juniors and Freshmen will do satellite work. But hey, at least you don't have to take any standardized assessments! APRIL FOOLS!

Actually… On April 22 Juniors will take the ACT and on April 23 Freshmen take Pre-ACT.

The HLA theatre department is performing The Little Mermaid very soon! The show will be April 10-12. Tickets are selling out fast, so if you want to attend get your tickets soon!

Put your career caps on for Thursday, April 24 to explore more career options for future job opportunities! This will be held during the High School lunch in the lunch hall, where you can ask questions to many people who have jobs that you are interested in. Ask your parents if they would like to share their job experiences! 

Juniors and seniors, the Prom is quickly approaching! If you would like to attend, please fill out the form as soon as possible. This event will take place on May 9th. Have fun!

• The Little Mermaid tickets are now on sale! Use the specific e-tix link from Mrs. Allison, or in the show notes of the podcast. The show will be April 10-12. April 10th will be a community performance, with special accommodations for sensitive guests. Come support the HLA Theater program! Online: Tickets may be purchased online HERE through etix. A $2 per ticket convenience fee has been added to the price of the ticket and Cary Arts Center takes $1.80 from each ticket sold.
• Come to the Chipotle at 3402 Kildaire Farm Road in Cary on Wednesday from 4-8 for a fundraiser for HLA's Performing Arts.
• Coming up! Baseball games tonight and Thursday at 4:00 located at Middle Creek Park Baseball Field in Apex.
• Tomorrow don’t forget to wear your fletcher gear for Fletcher Day. There is also a pep rally tomorrow. Let’s show off our school spirit!
• Spring Enrichments are here! Get ready for some fun! This spring, we’ve got exciting new activities lined up: Golf at Devils Ridge – Join us on Wednesdays  Online Chess – Show off your skills every Friday. Don’t miss out—sign up now if your student is interested in joining the fun! Let’s make this spring one to remember!
• Something that is also very DEAR to our hearts here at HLA is DEAR Day! This Friday, you get to drop everything and read! That means the more minutes you read, the more rewards you collect! Remember that includes audiobooks, magazines, newspapers, and even theater scripts! The HLA library is open today and tomorrow, so make sure to check out some books to read! Have a blast reading!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Reminder to all Spanish 2 students to study, study, study for the upcoming test this Thursday! Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for man. Dios le bendiga!

Get your pom poms and your cheering voice ready because we have a basketball game this Thursday! Come to support your basketball team! Students come in free. The middle school game starts at 4 and the high school game starts at 5:15! Go Fletchers!!

Thanksgiving is right around the corner. As Thanksgiving approaches, we want to express our gratitude for our hardworking students, dedicated teachers, and supportive parents. We are thankful for you! Also don’t forget we have classes on Monday and Tuesday. Then enjoy your break.
