In this episode we get a Hobby Time first, a guest!  Nathanael joined me to discuss our player rankings if we were investing $100 for the next several years.  

We talk briefly about his sports card journey, a little bit of TV talk and spend the majority of time on 15-20 players, where we have them ranked and why.  It was a really fun episode to record and I hope everyone enjoys it!

In this episode I review a study I've been looking at comparing cumulative Gem Mint rates, Mint and above rates for 10 cards across PSA, BGS and SGC.  I talk through the prompt for the study, my methodology, and detail each card and relate it back to pricing, and wrapping up with things I've learned.

Today I used PSA pops of graded cards across multiple years and players to build estimated print runs of certain base cards and unnumbered parallels in order to try to find values.

First we go through the method, which admittedly isn't perfect, but I'd call directionally accurate

Then talk through estimated print runs for base and unnumbered parallels

And wrap up by trying, potentially unsuccessfully, to make sense of the pops and prices for a couple of players.
