Hold That Note

Today's episode features a new love song and an old love song. It also features some thoughts on more qoutes from Eckhart Tolle.

It also features the better birthday song, sung for Jeremi's 9th birthday. (Ep 1 features the birthday song for Jeremi's 7th birthday)!

See LightningLucas.com for most of the music, including the love song album which I mention in this episode, which is called "It ain't me babe, rough cut"

The book I read from today is called 'A New Earth'

Have a wonderful listening week and I'll see you next Friday for episode 100!

Today I dabbled in the Bible.  I touched on Psalm 62, Luke 3:11, and the book of James.  I also featured a song that claims it doesn't matter if God exists because we are all just big stupid monkeys... so it's a weird episode =)

Find these two songs at LightningLucas.com ... Monkeys is on the album 'Cold Hearted Monkeys' and My Soul Finds Rest is on the album 'Wash Me / Walk On Water'

Thanks to Earl for emailing me two questions!  Perhaps we'll get to the other one in a future episode.

Here is the "Valentine's Day is Terrible" live video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCdk5f4x1E4

Google or Wikipedia "W.B. Yeats" for info on the poet who wrote the words to today's second song.

My ducks are not in a row these days, and yet, life is good (and hard).  Here is a remastered repost of episode 4, which came out nearly 2 years ago.  I remastered both the songs and the talking and harmonica stings.  Most of you probably won't be able to tell the difference, but that's okay.  (The most significant difference is that it now sounds better on large speakers, though optimal listening is still through headphones).

This is a fairly solid episode and it doesn't really touch on current events at all, so it's very repostable.  Feel free to reply to this post (or email [email protected]) with a question or comment, I love to hear from you.

Back from a bit of a hiatus, armed with new superior audio compression tools... I'm Lightning Lucas and welcome to my musical podcast.  It's called Hold That Note.  You can find many things related to the show at HoldThatNote.net and you can listen to it on that website or wherever you get your podcasts ...

The show features my songs, old and new... songs of Life and Love, Depth and Lack Thereof.  Today's new song is mostly in the 'Depth' category, though it has some funny lines as well.  I also riff in answer to questions about previous episodes or about life in general.

Today's call to action is:

             Check out my Patreon page:

                     https://www.patreon.com/lightninglucas ...

Signing up here is one of the main ways you can support the show and help me keep food on the table.

Perhaps there will be different calls to action different weeks, but that's the one I'm sticking with today.

Have a wonderful listening week, and I'll see you next Friday!

This album contains 'B-sides' from the first few seasons of Hold That Note (Approximately Spring-Autumn of 2021).  The credits for the songs can be found with the album at LightningLucas.com ... I'm posting the album now because I've never posted it in its entirety on the show and I think you'll enjoy it.  Meanwhile, I'm trying to figure out what the next chapter of this show will look like.

Best,
