A quartet of streaming premieres this week!

We streamed Hamilton, Coherence (2013), and two documentaries: You Don’t Nomi and Disclosure. Then it’s time to revisit Alexander Payne’s 2004 indie hit Sideways.

Five streaming reviews this week: Good Boy and Shirley on Hulu, The King of Staten Island on VOD, and The Lovebirds and Da 5 Bloods on Netflix.

We loved Atlantics on Netflix and one of us haaaated The Vast of Night on Amazon Prime. Then it’s time to revisit Jonathan Glazer’s 2000 UK gangster flick Sexy Beast. Movies!

First up Dan and Josh talk 90’s girl gangs and Foxfire, then they catch up with Lars Von Trier’s depression allegory Melancholia. Finally it’s time to spend one more week in Wes Anderson Land and revisit 2001’s The Royal Tenenbaums.

A short and sweet episode. We streamed the goodhearted Driveways and revisited Wes Anderson’s Rushmore, a movie Josh forced Dan to watch once before.

We streamed Josie and the Pussycats, The Half of It, and The Lodge, then we discussed our mutual inaugural viewings of the 1998 biopic Gods and Monsters.

A short and (bitter) sweet episode this week. We both streamed and enjoyed HBO’s Bad Education, and Dan really hated having to watch the 2005 geopolitical thriller drama film Syriana.

Dan saw the explosive Netflix action flick Extraction and we both streamed The Fits and Never Rarely Sometimes Always. Then it’s time for intrigue, murder, and rich kids with The In Crowd, one of Dan’s guilty(?) pleasures.

[NOTE: Something was up with Dan’s mic in the first section. Whatcha gonna do?]  A slow week for new movies, but Dan did keep his promise to watch The Boy II and gives his report. Then it’s time to revisit the 2002 Spike Jonez/Charlie Kaufman oddity Adaptation. Also a bunch of current events talk that probably won’t age well!
