Today we speak with Linda Star Wolf, a Hippie from the 60’s, who was plagued with addictions and all that comes with that. She learned to heal herself by learning many types of breathwork techniques from the masters and created Shamanic Breathwork of her own, a technique sheteaches worldwide. Shamanic Breathwork gives us the ability to reach altered states of consciousness without any side effects, and once trained, participants can start to addressproblems with addiction, depression, traumas, bias, etc., and be able to let go and reach a point in healing that can last, just byrelying ontheir own Star Wolf has been a vision­ary teacher and shamanic guide to thou­sands of people over the last 35 years. Starting out as a therapist in the mental health and addictions fields in the 1980’s, Star Wolf is a nationally certified alcohol and drug counselor who draws from her personal experience of recovery from addiction. Linda Star Wolf, Ph.D.is the author of 12 books, she is the creator of Shamanic Breathwork®, the co-creator of the Shamanic Healing Initiatory Process (SHIP), and the Founder of Venus Rising Association for Transformation, a non-profit organization, and Founder and President of Venus Rising University for Shamanic Psycho-spiritual Studies.

She has taught the Alexander Technique for 33 years, trained Alexander teachers for two decades at the American Center for the Alexander Technique, and operates Hope Martin Studio in New York City.  She is a Meditation Instructor, Focusing trainer, and a close student of Pema Chodron and has been her cook and attendant for 25 years. Her particular passion is in helping her students discover how easeful, upright posture is an expression of their human dignity, confidence, and innate wakefulness.

 Sister Kate was a consultant, who helped clients open businesses in newly deregulating industries around the world. But after a divorce, and as a newly single mother with three children, she was forced to give up this career and uproot her family from Wisconsin toCentral Valley, California. In 2009, she founded a non-profit cannabis collective and opened it for business in 2010. This farmland is nestled in the impoverished but agriculturally rich Central Valley in California. Here is where Sister Kate serve cannabidiol medicine to local terminal patients, so they could experience its healing effects without needing to smoke it. Meet Divya Alter who has traveled and lived in Indira, studied Sanskrit, and learned traditional Ayurvedic nutrition to heal herself. She has been an instructor on Ayurvedic cooking for over a decade and now has established her own cooking school called Divya's Kitchen and restaurant called Divya's in the East Village in NYC. This is the first Ayurvedic school of this kind in the US. It very much sticks to traditional rules of how Ayurvedic nutrtion works for different types of bodies and its metabolism.  They designed meals so the food is healing and can at times repair health problems the person cannot often correct on their own.  She speaks about how she makes her ghee butter during the full moon called Divya's Full Moon Ghee, and so on.

 Divya Alter’s story changed her life and set her on a path to teach others how to heal themselves by using food. Divya is comes from Bulgaria, and for the past 20 years she has learned and cooked at yoga ashrams and temples in India, Europe and the US. Later on, Divya attended the Barbara Brennan School of Healing , where she deepened her knowledge of nutrition, the energetic vibration of foods and learned how food can be used for balancing one's energy field.

Divya Alter is now a certified nutritional consultant, educator, and chef in the Shaka Vansiya Ayurveda tradition. In 2016, Alter co-founded Divya’s Kitchen, an award-winning plant-based restaurant in New York City, in the East Village that re-imagines classic dishes through an Ayurvedic lens. Divya’s brand includes plant-based retail food products. She is also the co-founder of Bhagavat Life, a nonprofit culinary school offering cooking classes and an Ayurvedic chef certification program.
