I have known for some time now that I need to up my game when it comes to sourcing my meat. I want to eat the healthiest choice I can find and I now know I can no longer rely on the "grocery store" (even the 'healthy'/expensive ones) for good, quality protein. Sure, I get what I can in Naples at our store Nature's Garden when I'm there but what about when I'm back on the East Coast?
That's why I am so thrilled I was able to speak with Chris Muneio of Ranchers Reserve on this episode. Chris and his business partner decided to open a restaurant in downtown West Palm Beach, FL just a few years ago and one year later decided to become ranchers. Talk about making bold moves... mad respect! Ranchers Reserve is a privately owned, 85 acre cattle farm in Okeechobee raising wagyu beef and Berkshire pork. I was also thrilled to find out he is opening a butcher shop in Fall 2024 (of which, I'm sure to be a regular customer!). More big plans on the horizon for this entrepreneur and I can't wait to see what is in store.
Thank you for being a creator of new things, Chris! And of course, for joining me as a guest.

Don't you just love it when you meet someone and right away think to yourself, "I like her!"? Such was the case when I met Diane Marie, a creative entrepreneur and founder of BloomCitrus.com (slated to launch in Sept. 2024).
Not only did Diane have her own health journey to share (regarding thyroid health) but she also has a love and appreciation for healthy brands of all kinds.
Diane is also a coach in Tribal Physics, which is a method to help you thrive in your relationship with yourself and others. She’s had much success in her past sales career using this philosophy to generate millions of dollars in sales.

It's just about the time of year that I start hearing the words, "I'm sick." And then I start doing the ultimate dodge -- trying not to get it.
In this episode I download you on the health tips that have kept me well through "cold and flu" season time and time again. Or, if I did catch something, these tips helped me get well faster.
Here's the blog I reference in the episode with links to products: https://ngvitamins.com/blogs/learn/cold-and-flu-guide?_pos=1&_sid=029c4fc3c&_ss=r

Casey Thompson is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Functional Medicine. She collaborates with both western medical and holistic medical doctors to offer comprehensive patient care.
Some of the many therapies she offers includes ketamine therapy and medical marijuana. As I mentioned in the episode, my curiosity on this topic has been piqued recently with having watched the documentary Weed the People, as well as a vote coming up on the ballot. Not to mention witnessing companies offering their teams ketamine... things that made me go hmmm?
Tune in and learn more about the growing uses of these two therapies.
You can find about Casey's practice at Zen Medicine Okeechobee. https://www.zenmedicinefl.com/

Herbs, oils, and 100% pure quality gel are all things you can use to repel bugs and treat bug bites more holistically. But how?
In this episode I talk about what makes you more likely to get bit, how to repel bugs naturally on yourself and in your home and give you a recipe (or two) to make your own bug repellant. Spoiler alert... this is the one I made:
Combine all oils in a 2 oz glass spray bottle.
5 drops cinnamon leaf essential oil,
5 drops lemongrass essential oil,
5 drops citronella essential oil,
5 drops peppermint essenital oil,
Mixed with witch hazel and be sure to shake up before each use.
Stay bug free and check out https://ngvitamins.com/ for all the vitamin supplements and essential oils mentioned in this episode!

According to the 2024 results of the American Psychiatric Association’s annual mental health poll, 43% of adults in the US say they feel more anxious than they did the previous year.
It seems no matter the age, people are experiencing more anxiety in daily life. Including me, from time-to-time!
That's why I take this episode to talk about signs and symptoms to know when to comes to anxiety.
As well as explore nutraceuticals such as GABA, 5-HTP, Magnesium, L-theanine as well as botanicals like cur cumin and one very unexpected herb. Tune in to find out and search https://ngvitamins.com/ to find these products and more!
And don't forget to reach out to Tony at Nature's Garden (239-643-4959) if you have questions about AxioCalm - the special product we carry at our store that has been proven to help anxiety, as shared by author and featured health hero in this episode, Gaetano Morello, ND.

About a month ago, I took a look at fasting and talked about why I didn't originally think it was something I would do... ever.
Now, I'm sharing with you what's happened during my first month of intermittent fasting. And what I've gathered from reading my second book on the topic of fasting, Fast This Way by Dave Asprey.
A few of the tools I mentioned such as: activated charcoal, electrolytes and D-MANNOSE can be found at: https://ngvitamins.com/
And if you have thoughts about this episode or what to share your fasting journey, I'd love to hear it! Send me a note at: https://www.uplevelc.com/contact
