The crowd that greeted Jesus in Jerusalem was enthusiastic about His coming.  But they really wanted a deliverer from their slave master, and He was coming to deliver them from sin.  They wanted Him to wear the crown. He came to bear the cross.  They wanted Him to make them happy people.  He said, “I come to make you holy people.”
