This overview of Esther considers her priestly role to the nation as she dresses in royal robes to approach the king in the inner court on behalf of her people. The story of Esther points us to Jesus our great high priest who completes the work foreshadowed in this book.

Love is the faithful act for the highest good of another. Love steps into the brokenness of someone else for their benefit. The greatest display of love began with a Holy God stepping into humanity to bring us forgiveness and salvation through the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Joy is that powerful emotion that moves your soul to the heartbeat of the Father. Joy is available at all times to believers that draw near to the Father through laughter or tears!

Peace is the inward state of being whole and complete knowing that you are in the potter's hand. God can reform the clay and complete the work that he began in you through the righteousness of Jesus that came down in love to offer salvation. 

Hope is securing yourself to a future promise of God today. If the anchor is firm and the rope is strong it will catch you when you fall and carry you through.

In Paul's final words to the Philippians believers, he encourages them to take their stand in the Lord. The peace of God will guard your heart, head, and your hands to learn contentment.

Paul gives encouragement to believers to have a heavenly mindset to be earthly good. As we await the return of our great King, we live humble lives looking to the goal of our faith the hope of the resurrection.

Paul counted everything as a loss compared to the worth of knowing Jesus. This desire was more than knowing about Jesus but a personal relationship with him! Nothing else would satisfy like knowing Jesus personally.
