  • Episode 14 - Under The Radar Movie Recommendations

Let's be honest...we're all feeling those January/February blues and it's not fun...the holidays are in the rearview, it's freezing cold, and the lack of movie options are hitting hard...BUT DO NOT WORRY! Episode 14 is here and we think it's exactly what you need to power through! We are making up for the lack of quality movie releases by dropping some "under the radar" gems that we (take a shot) couldn't recommend enough...comedy, drama, horror, sci-fi, action, romance, animation...it's all represented and we have a lot to say about some of our favorites that might have gone unnoticed!

We also debate the worst movie we have ever seen, Taylor Swift's new found voice (at age 30), and what movie we think actually deserves a remake in 2020. Don't think we forgot about reviews, because Kasen drops his thoughts on "Weathering With You", one of the biggest animated releases of the year...and Keenan drops his thoughts on "Judy", a biopic about Judy Garland that is getting a lot of Oscar buzz for Renee Zellweger's performance. Let's get on board the SNOWPIERCER and start bringing back the happiness to this dark time of year!!

As always, time stamps are below for anyone that wants to hear our pitch for a Transformers romantic comedy...

1:07:08 - It's time to talk about MOVIE TRAILERS! (Irresistible, Vivarium, Miss Americana)
1:15:29 - Kasen's dreams come true and he gets to talk about anime for 10 solid minutes! How good was "Weathering With You"??? Keenan's dreams come true and he gets to talk about Judy Garland for 10 solid minutes! How good was the biopic "Judy"???

Episode 13 has arrived with slightly improved audio and a full breakdown of the Academy Award nominations! Who got completely shafted!? Who got exactly what they deserved!? Is there any validity to the "diversity debate" that is popping back up again?? We discuss...

We also weigh the pros & cons of OUR BOY Taika Waititi possibly making a Star Wars film, Nicolas Cage possibly coming back for "National Treasure 3", and how effective Jared Leto will be at playing a CGI vampire...and if that wasn't exciting enough, we drop reviews on "The Last Black Man in San Francisco" and "I Lost My Body", two BEAUTIFUL "under the radar" films that deserve recognition and analysis. Oh, and let's not forget the MAILBAG...best Tom Hanks performances? First movie to make us cry?? It's gonna be a great episode, let's roll!

The decade is officially over! Do you realize how long a decade is?? Extensive research is telling me that's TEN YEARS! WOW! Who stood out and deserved our coveted love/admiration (other than Vin Diesel, who wasn't allowed as an option)?? This was a fantastic decade and we hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane.
