Trying to conceive is supposed to be "fun," right? Yeah not always.
In this episode we get real about our journey to parenthood. The months of trying, the two miscarriages that shattered us, and the two inductions that felt like being thrown into the deep end of the medical system with floaties made of lies.
Hannah opens up (and cries... like actual tears) about what those experiences were like physically and emotionally, while Justin jumps in with the partner side of the story: the helplessness, the heartbreak, and the chaotic humor that kept us going.
We also talk about how a doula could've changed everything, from support during miscarriage, to navigating interventions, to helping us advocate during both inductions. Basically all the things we wish we'd known before we were in too deep.
This one is raw, vulnerable, a little funny in a "laugh to survive" kind of way, and deeply human. If you've ever been through TTC, loss, birth, or anything that didn't go "as planned," this episode is for you.
*CORRECTION: I (Hannah) mention being pregnant 4 times in 2 years. I misspoke and it was 3 years. My bad*
