Bajan born Dr Cecily Jones has recently moved to Kingston,
lock stock and barrel to embark on a new role as Senior Lecturer within the
Institute for Gender and Development Studies at the University of the West
Indies. I've been following her journey while she was in London as she prepared
her shipment and last minute preparations before migrating to Jamaica. One
month on from settling into her new environment she shares her insights into
Jamaican life and what to expect when migrating to a new culture, a new job and
new associates. Growing up in Brixton, South London she was very familiar with
Jamaican culture but how does she fit into the culture of Jamaica?
