Home Before Dark

After a week off while Kevin was traveling, we’re back with talk about everything we missed over the past two weeks.  Gears of War 4 is out and both of us have managed to get our hands on it and give our initial thoughts as well as a discussion on how we approach difficulty selections in games. We talk TV and movies with notes on Westworld, American Horror Story, Better Things, The Jungle Book, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, and how uncomfortable it can be watching movies on planes.  Tim talks Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees and we both discuss what we’ve been listening to lately.  Tech talk includes latest developments by Verizon and 5G speed modems as well as the Galaxy Note 7.  Finally we discuss the ever controversial Wikileaks and what our thoughts are on it’s latest developments.

Home Before Dark harkens back to a time when you and your friends in the neighborhood were forced inside. Where you discovered a level of brotherhood/sisterhood that could only be forged through playing video games, watching movies, television and discussing the finer things in life over an Orange Lavaburst Hi-C and Bagel Bites. We take the time out to talk about the current games we're playing, movies we've seen recently(new or old) and all the things in between.

It’s almost that time.  The streetlights just came on and you had better leave soon to be Home Before Dark.  Find the whole gang on twitter @timherband @the_ARC1TECTand collectively@HomeB4Dark

It was a fun weekend for both of us. We both got our hands on the Battlefield 1 beta and discuss our thoughts and whether or not it’s a must-buy. Tim has a new mobile game to discuss in Steppy Pants. We got a new peek into Horde 3.0 in Gears of War 4 along with a new track from Run the Jewels off of RTJ3. Music Midtown is just a few weeks away, and in that spirit we both discuss the impact of music festivals on our personal playlists and how we approach music in general as a result. Kevin has been debating fitness trackers recently and sheds some light on which way he’s leaning including Apple’s upcoming presser and the potential Apple Watch 2. We got together for the Clemson Auburn showdown, so naturally, we talk about the opening weekend to College Football and our outlook for the rest of the season. We wrap things up with the best self deprecation we can muster to catch everyone up on some upcoming Extended Plays we have in the works.

Buckle up, kids, cause it’s gonna be a good one!  This week the boys talk about Suicide Squad.  Was it as bad as the internet says it is?  Also, this past weekend was the Titanfall 2 Tech Test.  Kevin spent some time hands-on with it and gives us his thoughts.  We also talk our plans going into Destiny Rise of Iron now that we’re a month away.  Tim revisited some oldies but goodies with The Nice Guys and talks buddy cop movies and some of the best cinematic pairings.  Tim gives us his initial thoughts after starting HBO’s The Night Of.

It’s also the last saturday without college football! The guys talk last season and look forward to this year as well as their fantasy football outlook for this year.  We give an update to changes to the podcast and where it’s headed!  Fret not, we will still strive to bring you the very best each and every episode.
