  • Education for Life Approved unto God
Back to School, Back to the Book: Learning and Instruction for Life and Godliness August has a rhythm to it. Backpacks are dusted off, school supply lists get pulled from the fridge, and classrooms across the country fill again with students ready — or not so ready — to learn. It's a season that turns our minds naturally toward education, instruction, and the shaping of young minds. But long before the first school bell of the year rings, the wisest man who ever lived was already wrestling with the pursuit of knowledge. In Ecclesiastes, Solomon reflects that "of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh" (Ecclesiastes 12:12). Solomon had access to the finest wisdom, wealth, and learning of his day — and still found that human knowledge alone, apart from God, leaves the soul unsatisfied. There is one education, however, that never wearies the soul because it leads to life. Paul charges young Timothy: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15). This is the curriculum that matters most — not merely gathering information, but rightly handling God's Word so that our lives are shaped by it. This kind of learning doesn't begin in a classroom; it begins in the home. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Parents are a child's first teachers — the first voice shaping what is right and wrong, true and false. We see this modeled perfectly in the life of Christ Himself, who "increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man" (Luke 2:52) — growing under instruction,

  • 1 John 5:16 • If You Could Lose Your Salvation, You Already Have
1 John 5:13-16 — Confidence in prayer is real. But confidence is not control. There is a sin that will cost a believer his life, not his soul. This expository preaching message walks verse by verse through 1 John 5:13-16, moving from the believer's confidence in prayer into John's hardest statement in the letter: "There is a sin unto death." This sermon works through what that sin is not — it is not the unpardonable blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, and it is not the loss of salvation — before showing from 1 Corinthians 5, 1 Corinthians 11, Acts 5, 1 Kings 13, and Numbers 20 what it is: the chastening hand of God, taking a believer home early because his life down here has stopped bearing fruit for the Lord. If you've ever wondered whether a true child of God can sin his way out of salvation, or wrestled with hard providences in the lives of believers who died before their time, this verse-by-verse teaching through 1 John was preached for you. It is honest about the tension in the text and honest about what the Bible actually says. This is expository preaching in the fullest sense — not a topical survey of "the sin unto death," but a careful walk through the whole counsel of Scripture on the subject, letting Mark, Galatians, James, 1 Corinthians, Acts, 1 Kings, Numbers, and Deuteronomy interpret 1 John rather than human opinion. This expository sermon walks through 1 John 5:13-16 and related Scripture, explaining: • The confidence a believer has that God hears prayer according to His will • Why an ordinary brother caught in sin should be carried to God in prayer, not gossip • What "he shall give him life" means for a believer who has backslidden

  • Strangers' Hope (Song)
The article explores the biblical concept of "exile," describing how modern believers often feel displaced in a shifting cultural landscape that conflicts with their faith. Rather than retreating or compromising, it encourages Christians to thrive by maintaining their biblical identity, actively seeking the welfare of their communities, and living with distinctive integrity. • Strong to the End
David Lloyd is the father of Davy Lloyd. He's a graduate of Ozark Bible Institute and College. After marriage to his wife Alicia, they moved to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in order to pursue their missionary calling: a children's home under the name Missions in Haiti. They raised more than 100 children to adulthood, where hundreds of children are educated annually. As we read through the Scriptures, we see many occasions in which God miraculously delivered individuals from harm. We read of Daniel whom God sent an angel to shut the mouths of the lions. There was Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego delivered from the fiery furnace. Queen Esther and her people were protected when it seemed they would be wiped out by those who hated the Jews. We think of Peter whom God sent an angel to open prison doors and Elijah who was protected by perhaps the most wicked king and queen of Israel. While some were delivered from death, others were delivered by death. Hebrews 11 writes of those who were stoned, sawn asunder, killed by the sword, or suffered in other situations. Why does God deliver some and not others? Job writes as recorded in Job 23:14, "For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him." We don't know the mind of God, but we do know God can be trusted and glorified in life or in death. Today's program is a true account of what happened just two years ago, as we learn about the simple service and the sudden sacrifice of martyrs in Haiti, and a family who had devoted themselves to serving the Lord at a Haitian children's home until their lives and that of a Christian co-worker were taken.

  • Threats to the Home
The sermon explores the divine design for marriage as a holy covenant intended to withstand spiritual attacks from Satan. Drawing from Genesis and Ephesians, it outlines specific roles where husbands are called to provide, protect, and lead sacrificially, while wives are instructed to show respect and submission. Brother Gleiser emphasizes that healthy homes require intentional effort, mutual affection, and communication to counteract cultural pressures and personal flaws. By adopting these biblical principles, families can create a spiritual environment that honors God and influences future generations. Ultimately, the message urges believers to prioritize their marriages as foundational to the health and revival of the church.

  • The Courage to Be Different: Salt and Light in a Dark World
Christian men are not called to blend in with the darkness. They are called to shine faithfully for the glory of God. In this episode of Warriors of Grace, Dave Jenkins teaches from Matthew 5:13–16 on the courage to be different. Jesus calls His people salt and light, which means Christian men are to live with humble conviction, faithful obedience, purity, truthfulness, and courage in a world that increasingly rejects biblical truth. This episode considers why biblical manhood will often stand out, why fear of man weakens courage, and how ordinary faithfulness becomes a clear witness in a dark culture. Christian man, you do not need worldly approval to be useful to God. You need faithfulness to Christ.
