  • Has God Forgotton Me ?
When we face times of trouble, loneliness, sickness, danger, war, etc. we are tempted to ask where is God's mercy, His grace, His compassion, His promises - has God forgotten me ? Pastor brings perspective from the scripture and reminds the believer: 1. God remembers we are but mortal frame - He became a man and experienced our humanity; 2. God dwells with us, He is in us; 3. This world is not our home, heaven is our hope; and 4. Godly humility - God gives grace to the humble.

  • Greater Than All
In this message from the closing verses of John 3, Pastor Rockhill draws out the final witness of John the Baptist to the surpassing greatness of the Lord Jesus Christ. Against the backdrop of jealousy among John's disciples, who were troubled that Jesus drew larger crowds, Pastor Rockhill shows why John could say, "He must increase, but I must decrease." The central burden is that Christ is greater than all — greater than John, the apostles, the prophets, and every preacher — and that this greatness demands a response. Working through verses 31 to 36, Pastor Rockhill unfolds three ways Jesus is greater. He is greater in His origin, for He comes from above as the eternal Son of God and Creator, while man is of the earth, mere dust. He is greater in His witness, for He alone has seen and heard the mysteries of the Godhead and always speaks the very Word of God, unlike our fallible and often inconsistent testimony. And He is greater in the gifts He has received, possessing the Spirit without measure and all things from the Father, yet graciously sharing these gifts with His people. Pastor Rockhill presses home the doctrine of Christ's essential and mediatorial kingship, magnifying the wonder of the incarnation and the cross, where Jesus bore the wrath of God in the place of undeserving sinners. The application is urgent and searching: there can be no fence-sitters. Verse 36 sets before every hearer the difference between life and death — those who believe the Son have everlasting life, while those who reject Him remain under the abiding wrath of God. Pastor Rockhill lovingly calls each listener to respond in faith, to the glory of God alone.

  • The City of God
This sermon explores the final verses of Obadiah, emphasizing that God's judgment on Edom serves as a foundation for the hope of His coming kingdom. The preacher argues that just as Israel was promised restoration to their ancestral lands, believers today possess a heavenly inheritance secured by Christ's redemption. By remembering God's covenant promises, the faithful can endure present trials with confidence in their ultimate return home. The passage illustrates how God uses His people as witnesses to extend His rule over all nations until the kingdom fully belongs to the Lord. This perspective transforms current struggles into temporary detours on the journey toward eternal fellowship with Christ.

  • John 10:1-6 • How Did He Get Into Your Home?
John 10:1-6 — Sheep don't study doctrine. They know a voice. Jesus draws the line between a shepherd who enters by the door and a thief who climbs the wall in the dark. This expository preaching message walks verse-by-verse through John 10:1-6, tracing the picture of a first-century sheepfold — one door, one porter, many flocks pressed together in the dark — to show how the religious leaders of John 9 fit the profile of the thief and robber Jesus describes. This is a message about knowing God's voice: not by argument, not by proof, but by recognition. The sheep aren't theologians. They just know the shepherd's voice when they hear it — and they know a stranger's voice just as fast. Drawing on Numbers 27, Jeremiah 23 and 50, Ezekiel 14 and 34, and the contrast between John 9's blind man and the Pharisees who cast him out, this expository preaching sermon asks a simple, searching question: when the true voice called, did you follow it — or have you been following a false shepherd without even knowing his name? This sermon walks through John 10:1-6, explaining: - Why there is "no door" between John chapters 9 and 10 — same men, same moment - The difference between a thief (stealth) and a robber (force) — and why John uses both words on purpose - Why the sheepfold in this parable is Israel, not heaven and not the church - How Jeremiah 50 describes shepherds who dry up and starve their own flock - Why legitimacy is structural, not self-declared — "he that entereth by the door" - How the blind man of John 9 responds to a voice before he ever has eyes to see - Why the shepherd leads sheep out, while the Pharisees only ever cast people out

  • The Joy of Heavenly Citizenship
The sermon explores the believer's heavenly citizenship as described in Philippians 3, emphasizing a life of active perseverance toward Christ-like maturity. It outlines three key practices for Christians: striving for spiritual perfection through faith in Christ's imputed righteousness, imitating godly examples of endurance and evangelism, and maintaining a distinct identity separate from worldly values. The preacher uses the analogy of an endurance race to illustrate that while believers acknowledge their ongoing imperfection, they press forward with hope anchored in the promise of future bodily transformation. This perspective provides assurance and motivation for daily Christian living, reminding listeners that their ultimate inheritance is secure in Christ despite earthly struggles. The message concludes by encouraging the audience to fix their eyes on Jesus and eagerly await their eternal home.
