On a cloudless, moonlit night deep in the plain deserts of South Texas rides a headless horseman. Astride a jet-black mustang, serape blowing in the wind behind him, he can be heard reveling in his latest bounty. Look closely and you can see the flames shooting from the nostrils of the mustang, as well as lightening arching from it’s hooves. Something is moving though, bouncing with each step of the horse. You peer closer, and realize… it’s a head tied to the saddle horn!
The Legend of El Muerto is almost two-centuries old, and is still alive and well to this day. This particular legend has a rather interesting origin involving Bigfoot, the Texas Rangers, banditos, horrifying body mutilation, and the paranormal. Join Lynsie and Sam as they explore the history behind this mystery, and learn why you really shouldn’t make Bigfoot angry.
