This podcast is for people who are homeless and are looking to land a steady job. Our main goal is to inspire hope for the homeless job seeker community. We cover part two of Jordan Hearin's story, in which we discuss his parents' journey through homelessness.
Jordan Hearin overcame extreme poverty, multiple evictions, and was raised in a childhood where both parents were addicted to drugs...all so he could eventually carve his own path to career success as a successful technology executive.

Today, we're going to talk about putting your best foot forward while attending networking events and interviews. When it comes to making a first impression, appearance is very important and can make or break whether or not you get the job.
We will also touch upon the difficulties in maintaining appearance while homeless, and we hope this episode gives you some inspiration and creativity on how to become the best version of yourself.
At the end of the day, we want you to be confident, and we want you to shine. So let's get the ball rolling in this discussion about putting your best foot forward.

I am joined today by an amazing guest today. Kelly Lewis self-proclaimed storyteller of mathematics, having taught math at various schools, including Northeast Community College, and Concordia University of Texas. She’s also been involved in her own philanthropic efforts—volunteering for several causes over the last decade including as a Hurricane Katrina volunteer. She’s also homeless.
She’s here today because I want to share her story with those who may be going through a similar struggle. She is also a strong woman who will have some nuggets of encouragement and wisdom herself.
Thank you for tuning in. This is Homebound Radio.

Today, I’d like to tackle one of the toughest issues any job seeker goes through -- but perhaps especially those who are homeless...which is rejection & adversity. This is a mashup taken from the Career Warrior Podcast, our other podcast, which featured words of encouragement from an amazing career coach, therapist, and myself. The theme: just keep going. You will pull yourself out of your despair.
