“Stick To Your Guns” is a three-hundred year old expression that means to hold onto one's beliefs or position. It comes from a soldier's responsibility to stay at his post, or gun, and not run no matter how difficult the fighting becomes. To continue shooting at an enemy although it puts you in great danger takes discipline, faith and belief in what you are fighting for. Today Nehemiah has to stick to his guns as more opposition seeks to take him out! There are many forces that try to squelch what God is doing in and through you. Paul received word that the church of Corinth which He planted with Aquila and Priscilla during his second missionary journey (Crusade) [Acts 18:1-18] was troubled. The church was splitting, believers had become selfish and the momentum of sharing the gospel had almost come to a halt.
