Nancy Piercy and Sue Nothstine, authors, and veteran teachers, introduce themselves and present an overview of their new podcast, Homeschool Tacklecast. Nancy and Sue think that it is important that homeschool educators know their children as learners so they can teach the way every child learns best, as defined by the data from the learning profile.
Each episode of the podcast will explain how an educator can create and add new information to an individual learning profile for each of their children. The hosts then discuss strategies to implement the profile. The overview includes brief discussions about learning styles and readiness; the importance of knowing each child’s personality; and fun activities, referred to as nibblers, that provide invaluable information about a child’s character traits and skills.
