Ten Sleep School is the number one school in all of Wyoming according to the most recent WYTOPP (Wyoming’s Test of Proficiency and Progress) assessment. On this episode we’re going to share in the excitement as I talk with Washakie County School District #2 ‘s Superintendent Annie Griffin. We’ll also learn about the new Ten Sleep School progress and several innovative programs working for students in Ten Sleep.

October is not only Boos its Boobies and Breast Cancer Awareness month.
We'll even talk about Hunterfest, The Scarecrow Contest and a laundry list of activities dealing with books at the local libraries.

Carly Jeffers my favorite Multi -Modality Technologist from Washakie Medical Center, Banner Health will tell her story and bring us up to date on the latest technology being used at our very own Washakie Medical Center.

Ruth Dugger, Executive Director will also appear to talk about the Worland Ten Sleep Chamber of Commerce Scarecrow Contest, Hunterfest in Ten Sleep and Trunk or Treat for all the little ghosts and goblins here in Worland.

Karen Funk Director of the Washakie County Library System will close the show with a plethora of events and activities for all ages at the libraries in Worland and Ten Sleep including the Haunted Mansion Mystery Luncheon.

You'll learn the latest on the new expansion for the Worland Library and the details on the famous Harvest Dinner in Ten Sleep.

 What do free concert, plenty of beer, braut and pumpkin pie eating and a giant pumpkin being dropped from a crane have in common? It's almost time for Oktoberfest and Caryn Harding of the Worland Ten Sleep Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will share all the exciting events planned for October 4th and 5th at the Washakie County Fairgrounds.

Jay Richard will also drop by with the plans for The Great Pumpkin Drop to be held in conjunction with Oktoberfest. You know you want to see a huge pumpkin dropped by a crane!

We are privileged this week to visit with Aubree Kruger recently crowned Miss Wyoming Teen USA. Aubree is the daughter of Jackie and Nick Kruger and after listening to her you’ll understand why she did so well and is a young lady with a bright future.

Like daughter like father so Nick Kruger stopped by to talk about what is happening in his office as the Worland Superintendent of Public Works. Nick will explain several new ideas being worked on and share the good news about a large grant to be used for trails in one of our parks. Take a listen to learn which one.

Fall is in the air and it’s almost time to celebrate the harvest. Wyoming Sugar Company is hosting the Harvest Hoedown Saturday, September 7th and Brittany Swalstad, Factory Accountant joins me to give us the 411. There is still time to enter your favorite decorated cookies or you can volunteer to be a judge!

St. Alan’s Episcopal Church and The Episcopal Church of Wyoming are partnering with Soul Shop to present a faith- based suicide prevention workshop Thursday September 12 from 8:30Am-4:3PM right here in Worland. Shirley Wildman,  Local Coordinator sits down with me to share the details  about how you can learn how to listen.

Finally, the new girl in the office down the hall, Kassie Nolting Diversion Program Director, will share more about the Youth Alternatives Diversion Program and the positive impacts it can make in the lives of our local youth.
