Grow Washakie 2025 is set for February 22, from 9AM-3PM at the Washakie Museum. Listen as Amanda Konkowski and Janet Hoffman share the details on some ag based programs for those with small acreages. Dan Frederick Chairman of the Worland Board of Adjustment and Planning Commission joins us live today. You’ll learn what the BAPC does and the process from site plan to new building or business and who makes the rules.

If time allows you’ll even learn more about one of the most heart warming projects in Washakie County, Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Dan and his wife Nancy have led this local volunteer project to the complete of over 1200 beds for kids in need.

The Chief Washakie Chapter of the FFA is 95 years old and Grace Godfrey Advisor of the Chapter today stops by to talk about the reunion event and how times have changed for FFA in the 20 years she has been involved here in Worland. All former FFA members will have many memories to share at the event planned for January 20th from 10AM to noon at the Worland High School Commons.

The oil and gas industry has been a very important part of our economy here in Washakie County for many years and the latest exhibit opening this Friday at the Washakie Museum will tell the tale. Marian Bender Executive Director with the Washakie Museum shares about the Boom and Bust exhibit along with a list of other fun events planned for January and early February at the Washakie Museum.

Tis the season to celebrate our hometown and so a unknown local wanna be poet will share a fun rhyme that looks back on 2024 reflecting on some of the business highlights in Washakie County.

The major part of the episode will allow you to hear Representative Martha Lawley of House District 27. Martha will share some of her thoughts about her interim work and what she sees as some of the important issues that will come up in the legislative session beginning January 14.
