Homework The Podcast: Night School

To conclude our "Blast From the Past" lessons, host John Hammel introduces co-host Jose to the Bridge School Concert series.

The concerts ran nearly every year from 1986 to 2016. Artists from all genres were brought together by Neil Young and his then-wife Pegi Young to benefit the Bridge School in Mountain View California.

If you've ever moved, then you know how difficult and aggravating moving day can be. But when you're the world's greatest super-team, that aggravation triples in size. But that's not to say they can't have a little fun along the way.

Join hosts John and Jose as they continue their "Blast From the Past" lessons with Justice League International #8 from 1987.

We know we just celebrated Thanksgiving, and most of us probably still have leftovers in the fridge. But John wanted to discuss the 1987 special Garfield's Halloween Adventure, pirate music, and much more.

Lesson 21: Godzilla: King of Monsters!

Growing up, there always seemed to be a creature feature playing in the background on Saturday afternoons. Yet somehow John has never sat down and watched the (almost) original Godzilla. Until now! Godzilla: King of Monsters! is the Americanized version of the Japanese hit, adding new scenes featuring Raymond Burr as the Pov character Steve Martin. He manages to defeat Godzilla by singing about King Tut.

BONUS EPISODE!

Here's a throwback to our original podcast with Nick Jones, back when John's microphone sounded great and Jose's was terrible. Somehow now it's the other way around. We should probably have it so we both sound good, huh? Anyway, here's slightly younger us talking about all the things that kept us up at night.
