José and John are back, this time with people who are normally known for one thing, but attempted to do another. We're starting things off with the first post-Connery Bond movie, 1969's On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Lesson 4 The Expanse: Episode 1, Dulcinea

In this episode, José and John talk about the premire episode of The Expanse, a sci-fi series set two hundred years in the future. Humanity has spread across Earth, Mars, and far off asteroid belts that have been strip mined for ice and other commodities. Hard-boiled detective Joseph Miller, who is definitely not Alex Kamel, is assigned to find the missing daighter of a powerful CEO. Meanwhile on the Canturbury, an ice trauler harvesting ice in the rings of Saturn, second officer James Holden is asked by the ship's captain to take over as interim XO. And back on Earth, UN assistant undersecretary Chrisjen Avasarala is interrogating a suspected agent of The Outer Planets Alliance, accused of transporting illegal MArtian stealth technoogy.

All this plus Disney Channel Free Weekends, the abundance of Dinosaur-themed Saturday Morning Cartoons, and since it's almost Easter, a movie about Lent. Let us know if you're a fan of The Expanse, or of early 2000s rom-coms from the makers of Bridget Jones' Diary and Notting Hill.

In this episode, José and John talk about Netflix's 2021 movie Gunpowder Milkshake, an incredibly stylized film that cribs heavily from the John Wick series but without the world-building. In this episode, José and John talk about the 1999 album Ágætis byrjun, by Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós. Apologies in advance for butchering nearly all of the names. But if you've ever wondered what the English translations were, we've got you covered. And like all discussions about Icelandic ambient post-rock, this one eventually shifts focus to Starscream's barely controlled contempt for Megatron.
