Ep. 33  Hon. Linda Burney MP

Linda was the first aboriginal person, male or female, to be elected to the New South Wales State Parliament. She was the first aboriginal woman to be elected to the Federal House of Representatives. She is currently the Shadow Minister for Families and Social Services and the Shadow Minister for Indigenous Australians.
Her commitment to indigenous issues and rights in education, reconciliation and politics spans more than 30 years.
One of her highlights was being integral part in organising the Walk for Reconciliation across the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 2000. Not knowing if anyone would turn up, imagine how she felt when 350,000 people joined her to show their support.
