My first dude is on the show!!! Chris Trott is a fellow Discovery Channel Undercover Billionaire star! He apparently has a son =P His degree in Operations Management has served him well through an interesting journey of job positions before eventually leading him to the path of entrepreneurship. We met through horses, we reconnected through the show and since then have continued to find ways to support each other's businesses. Chris is one of the nicest guys I know but he has a shrewd eye and great instincts for business opportunities that have spurred the growth of his business as well as the vision he is creating for it. Enjoy the insights Chris gives on what entrepreneurship means to him and his advice to others.

Blogger, Evangelist, Public Speaker, Youth leader, CEO of Life Of Shifts, CEO of Global Destiny Inc, Friend and Mentor to many Lori A. Pickens is a first time author of "The Power of Transition". A graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s in Social Work and a Masters of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and tons of others schooling and all the things Lori has put in that work. 21 years vested into working with youth and families on different scales. She is no stranger to the crazy twist and turns life can throw at us.
She is currently an elected official and occupies a seat on the Erie School Board of Directors and recently joining the Erie City Mission Board of Directors.
She is the creator of Life of Shifts Podcast in which she discusses all things “shifting” and what perseverance looks like on that journey. She has a voice that holds sound and influence which she carries to every table she sits at. Her heart for others, desire to influence and intention to journey with others is unmatched.
Lori is no stranger to seeing transition on various scales and journeying with individuals to a “purposed place”. A social worker on paper but a driven pursuer of the misplaced by heart and voice for the voiceless keeps Lori focused on the reason she is in the lane she’s in.

I have the honor to talk to another one of my besties and fellow entrepreneur,
Stephani Klassen, whom wears many hats. She is a business owner, a mother of two teenagers, a dog lover, a navy brat, a Pittsburgh almost yinza, and most of all a #momboss who gives a crepe about Erie. Through her 15 years in Erie Pennsylvania she has grown to love and appreciate this county from state line to state line.
Her business Give A Crêpe La CrepErie is located at Shops on the Hill, a part of the Erie Hill District Collaborative, and is working on her second location at Perry Square set to open in November.
Her story may have even more twists and turns than mine, but she is enjoying the journey as well!

Today's guest, Tiffanie Collazo, is the PAUSE Coach, a devoted mother, wife & an Authenticity Advocate dedicated to helping you become the person you most want to be. She is Founder&CEO of Collazo Coaching (Diverse Collaborations & Consulting) and Maker Mixers, LLC.
Through her PAUSE coaching program, she has developed the brand MAWBA. This brand was created out of pressure. Like a piece of coal, she has felt the pressure of society to be who it says is great, love who it says you can love, and/or who you can be. The pressure of family and friends to be who and what they need you to be. The pressure of jobs that expected the most be paid the least. The pressure to be black..enough, thin enough, smart enough and (fill in the blank) enough.
After trusting the process of pressurization and letting go of everything that did not serve her highest good, she declared to myself...Might As Well Be Awesome and MAWBA was born.
She will take you through the steps of the PAUSE today, so get your pens out people!

My mission is to fill the gap of the first 3 years in business with the insights most business owners don't talk about. There's a lot of misinformation and direction because there's a belief system, almost a hazing if you will, of newcomers in business to have to "earn their stripes" which is essentially a sink or swim mentality. Mentoring is the exact opposite of that. The focus is to help you be successful, show you potential obstacles, give you resources to avoid or help get you through them, and celebrate every win! I cover the most commonly asked question that I get from potential entrepreneurs; where did you find financing. I have utilized many different forms of financing over 20 years and will share some of my experiences securing them.

Giving you run down of my early beginnings and the catalyst that spurred my decision to start a business. Most people don't understand the seemingly disconnected path of businesses I've started and sold to get to where I am today. Hopefully I can clarify why I've chosen this unconventional entrepreneurial path!
PS. My phone glitched a few times and I paused recording, in case you notice any hiccups, apologies! Also, no video for this episode will be posted on YouTube =(
