Airbnb is the most popular platform that these short stay property listings appear on, but there are so many others like booking.com, vrbo etc. In this episode we talk about our honest experiences and takeaways with 'Serviced Accommodation' as a property strategy. The pros and the cons such as the difference in cashflow with a regular rental property as well as creativity satisfaction. Owning vs controlling someone else's property (R2SA). Our top tips e.g. tools, compliance, whether or not to use an interior designer... and our top take aways with this strategy (hint: this is the most time intensive strategy out of most property options!). It's a service in the property world that saves investors time by compensating a 'sourcing agent' to find a good investment property for you. For investors this means saving time in finding a property, going on many viewings and the task of analysing the deal on their spreadsheets. This strategy has risen in appeal recently, as a way for people who aren't yet ready to invest, to build up their funds earning a high fee per deal found, and learn along the way. However, this strategy is also entirely unregulated, and we share our honest takeaways from our first experience with a sourcing agent.
