On today's episode I got to talk about labels with a super amazing friend of mine, Jeremy! Both of us are from the 904 and somehow moved to the 415, months within each other and became inseparable which made this episode such a pleasure! Labels are almost everything and through this conversation that we let the conversation take us where it wanted, we learned that labels should be a reference point, no the meaning. Jeremy even made me get a little more personable on this episode so you get to know more about me than you did before.

'Social Media' or 'Technology'? 

Do they conjure up different emotions when you think of  them or are they synonymous to you? In this very episode I got to talk to an OG about social media's impact from his perspective and I was pleasantly surprised with where the conversation went. Technology has been changing our lives since they figured out how to take pictures way back when, but today's technology? Continues to grow and shape how WE interact not only with each other but the World.

Expectations can really fuck you up if you let them.

Y'all know what it is: an HONEST conversation. So with that being said, this episode was such a raw conversation with my cousin who I love and appreciate so much for being so open and conversating (yeah, I typed that) with me about what it means, in our perspective, to be Black in America. And it was a conversation that I thoroughly enjoyed editing and was able to reflect back on my own thoughts and my own sterotypes of my Black people. I hope if anything, this conversation you just enjoy the honesty of it but more importantly you wanna have a conversation with someone about what it means to them to be Black in America.
