On October 23rd, 2012, Vanessa Malone, or Honey as she was known, went to a friend's apartment and was fatally shot. Her body was found in a closet in the apartment's main bedroom. The police believe that Honey walked in on an armed robbery and was tragically in the wrong place at the wrong time, but Honey's family believes there is much more to the story.

Two people inside the apartment were not shot, and they later told police that masked men had kicked in their door and tied them up before Honey walked inside and was killed. Honey's family never gave up trying to find the truth, and in 2020, Donald Ashe, one of the individuals who said they were tied up in the apartment, was arrested. He has yet to go to trial, but it's just a matter of time before the truth comes out.
