Quique Escamilla is multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer living in Toronto, since 2007.  

This segment aired on CFRU radio 93.3fm after Summerfolk 2017, with some tunes that I hate not including in the podcast version.

I first worked with Ken Whiteley when I was living in Toronto, and was "house manager" for Milkfest at Harbourfront Centre.  He gave an amazing world history lesson for bus loads of kids, in a morning show, with an amazing dance party thrown in. Did it last all week?

I definitely need to follow up with this talented musician, and friend, for a more longstanding chat about horses.  I kept it short for this segment because the recorder wasn't working!  Enjoy this emergency voice memo in the meantime.

On Mother's Day, we were in conversation with musical recording artist Dana Sipos, who revealed a bit of equestrian background. That night at her concert in Guelph, we admired chaps and breeches from her youth and had a great time trying them on, along with all her other fabulous (actual) merch items at the merch table!

A compelling singer, with gentle intriguing soundscapes and evocative melodies, she feels her song structures are the best part of her craft - but, I don't know... I love her voice and musicianship!
