Bruce moved to Port Townsend in the mid 1970’s to check out the wooden boats and has become a part of the Port Townsend Wooden Boat renaissance and culture. He is a master spar maker and boat builder.

in Port Townsend Washington. Karl is the first person to finish the 750 mile R2AK on a SUP (Stand Up Paddle

Board). He completed the unassisted paddle in 14 days 6 hours and finished ahead of 10 sailboats in the 3rd

annual race. His accomplishment is beyond impressive and I got to sit down with Karl and ask all the fun

questions.
