  • Hoopsville: What Surprise is Next?
The Division III NCAA tournaments have already seen their fair share of twists and turns. Both defending champions eliminated on the opening night, several home teams beaten, off-the-radar squads tearing Top 10 teams apart, and much more.
It has been an exciting start. What's next?
Can the home teams parlay a perceived advantage into a Championship Weekend appearence? What Cinderalla team will hear the chimes of midnight? What program will continue to make history? How will the battle of Top 25 teams shake out? And will a storied career end this weekend or in Salem?
There is plenty to talk about ahead of the Sectional Weekend and Dave McHugh had a super-sized list of guests on Thursday night's Hoopsville.
Hoopsville is presented by D3hoops.com and airs from the WBCA/NABC Studio.

  • Hoopsville: Survive & Advance
It is a pretty common cliche this time of year, but it seems to be proven more often than not: survive and advance.
The opening weekend of the NCAA Division III tournaments was all about survival. Some top "seeds" were knocked off, hosts couldn't hold court, and some teams proved why the other adage is also correct, "that's why they play the game."
On Sunday night's Hoopsville, Dave McHugh recapped a wild and crazy opening weekend of games before then trying to get a sense of how the Sectional Weekend might turn out. Dave interviewed several of the coaches involved in some upsets and even found out why for some it was expected. Dave will also answer the ever so popular question, "why is so-and-so hosting."
Hoopsville is presented by D3hoops.com and airs LIVE from the WBCA/NABC Studio. You can watch the show On Demand in the video player above (currently, the show picks up after the first block due to a technical problem; we may replace that video at a later time). You can also listen to the podcast which will be available shortly after the show concludes.
If you do have questions for Dave, make sure to email them to [email protected]. You can also tweet them to us and Dave will answer them on a future show.
And please consider helping Hoopsville stay on the air like you might help your public television station. The annual fundraising campaign was extended a few days, but comes to a close very soon. Hoopsville is presented by D3hoops.com and airs from the WBCA/NABC Studio. The show is jammed packed with guests, but Dave also had time for your questions. Make sure to email them to [email protected]. You can also tweet them to us.

They will answer questions from fans and maybe come up with some of their own.
Dave will also talk to both committee chairs, Bobbi Morgan (Haverford women's coach) and Kevin Vande Streek (Calvin's men's coach) later in the show.

  • Hoopsville: Championship Week
We are midway through what is always the craziest week of the entire season. Teams are already hitting the at-large bubble and that is already popping some other team's hopes of making the NCAA tournament. Upsets are everywhere and it promises to continue.
On Thursday's Hoopsville, Dave not only recapped the crazy week, but looked ahead at what might happen this weekend. Plus, Dave and others looked at the last regular season Regional Rankings and tried to read the tea leaves. Just who may be safe and who already is in trouble on plans to be playing in March.
Dave also talked to a team making waves. The Union men's program is in their first conference finals in 11 years and helping turn the East Region on its head. Plus No. 20 Salisbury's Andrew Sachs joined Dave immediately after the Sea Gulls thrilling double-overtime win over York (Pa.).
Hoopsville is presented by D3hoops.com and airs from the WBCA/NABC Studio.
We will answer any questions about all of Division III throughout the show. You can also send your questions to the show and have them featured on the Hoopsville Mailbag segment or simply answer immediatly on air. Email them to [email protected]. You can also tweet them to us.
