The Virginia offense keeps rolling and so does the Hoos On Podcast with episode 100 as Preston welcomes back the "Voice of the Cavaliers" John Freeman to recap the win over Stanford and look ahead to a massive Friday night against Florida State.
First, Preston and John give their One BIG Takes about the scorching UVA offense, which is giving some other prolific offenses in program history a run for their money. Then Preston announces the Hoos On Player of the Game in receiver Trell Harris, who made some history on Saturday against the Cardinal.
Later Preston and John give more plaudits to offensive coordinator Des Kitchings and some of the numbers making this UVA attack more unique. Then John shares the perfect comparison for quarterback Chandler Morris after his ACC Player of the Week performance before taking a closer look at the injuries on the offensive line. On the defensive side, the guys celebrate the return of Kam Robinson, discuss Dan Rickert's surprising start and share some concerns in the secondary.
Finally, Preston and John turn their attention to a home clash against a top-10 Florida State team, while remembering some classics between the two programs.
In light of Brent Pry's tenure in Blacksburg coming to an abrupt end, Preston is joined by CVille Right Now Editor-In-Chief Mike Barber to process the state of college football in Virginia.
First though, Preston and Mike talk about the return of UVA linebacker Kam Robinson ahead of the ACC opener against Stanford on Saturday night and then give their predictions.
Then the guys take a big picture look at where the Commonwealth's five FBS programs currently find themselves, but especially Virginia and Virginia Tech. Preston and Mike discuss how linked the two ACC rivals are after coaching searches in 2016 and 2021, as well as how both UVA and VT are viewed.
Then the conversation shifts to the events leading up to the Hokies parting from Brent Pry so early in the season and more changes to come. Mike and Preston give their best shot at some of the top coaching candidates for the position.
Later Preston poses the question of what Virginia Tech's coaching search means for Virginia and how a big opportunity is there to be seized by the Cavaliers. Finally, Preston and Mike ponder what the rest of the season will look like for both programs.
Virginia might still be picking up yards, but Preston is joined by Brad Franklin from Cavs Corner to breakdown a record-setting UVA 55-16 win over William & Mary.
Preston and Brad start with chatter about the situation in Blacksburg after Virginia Tech fired head coach Brent Pry. Then the guys turn their focus to UVA with their One BIG Take centered around taking care of business against FCS opponents. Running back Harrison Waylee was voted the Hoos On Player of the Game, so Preston and Brad discuss Waylee and a loaded running back room.

A September side trip to John Paul Jones Arena, Preston is joined by UVA men's basketball associate head coach Griff Aldrich as practice gets underway for the Cavaliers.
Griff talks about the offseason up until this point and what's to come for this new-look Virginia squad this fall. Then Griff dives into his basketball story from being college teammates with Ryan Odom to becoming a lawyer and eventually a college basketball coach.
Preston and Griff discuss the international recruiting scene and how Thijs De Ridder and Johann Grünloh got to Grounds. Finally, Griff touches on a few other subjects like Chance Mallory, the General Manager position and which players are surprising in practice.
Later Preston goes through some key games on the newly released ACC men's basketball schedule and recaps everything from Ryan Odom's press conference on Wednesday, including new uniforms.
After UVA suffers their first setback of the season in Raleigh, Preston is joined by David Teel from The Virginian-Pilot to recap Virginia's 35-31 loss to NC State.
First, Preston and David start off with their One BIG Takes, including the missed opportunity and how the Cavaliers need to get "better not bitter". Then Preston and David break down a fruitless three-straight possessions for the offense in the fourth quarter leaving UVA just short of a win.
Later they dive into the performance of the offense with discussing a great game called by offensive coordinator Des Kitchings, Chandler Morris' still impressing despite the late pick and J'Mari Taylor's coming out party. Then Preston and David take a look at the bad, also known as the defense, and try to answer what defensive coordinator John Rudzinski can do to improve the unit. Finally, a look ahead to William & Mary and David's message to the UVA fanbase.
Preston welcomes on ESPN's Andrea Adelson to dive into an eventful weekend in the ACC, evaluate where Virginia is as a program after starting off 1-0 and preview this weekends "non-conference" matchup with NC State.
First, Andrea recaps her trips to both Miami and Florida State, while giving her opinion on two ACC programs making the biggest noise in week one. Then Preston and Andrea give their thoughts on the UNC debut of Bill Belichick and why tough times could be ahead for the Tar Heels.
Following a comfortable win over Coastal Carolina, Andrea touches on the high points for the Cavaliers one week into the season, including Chandler Morris, Cam Ross and the depth. Later Preston and Andrea discuss where UVA is as a program, her thoughts on the Tony Elliott tenure and where Virginia should be aiming for this season and beyond.
Finally, Preston and Andrea break down the matchup against NC State and some key areas for UVA to focus on before giving their predictions. Then before closing out, Andrea talks college football realignment and where Virginia could see themselves in five years with the SEC and Big Ten lurking.
Week one is in the books! Preston welcomes back Virginia Sports Radio Network lead analyst Ahmad Hawkins, aka The Ball Hawk, to breakdown the Cavaliers 48-7 win over Coastal Carolina.
First, Preston and Ahmad give their One BIG Take focusing on the special teams and depth UVA showed in the opener. Then Preston hands out the first Hoos On Podcast Player of the Game to receiver Cam Ross after his electric debut.
Later Preston and Ahmad review a strong opening from the UVA offense with Chandler Morris making his debut, a strong receiving corps, 10 (!!!) offensive linemen rotating and a slow, but powerful start for the running backs. Then they shift their focus to the defense where there was a lot of rotation on the defensive line, Landon Danley had a strong first start and the secondary shut down the Air Raid.
Finally, the guys look ahead to the non-conference matchup at NC State and some of the keys for the Cavaliers to pick up a win.
The college football season is finally upon us, which can only mean one thing: A Good Old Season Preview. Preston is joined by Greg Madia from the Daily Progress and Jacquie Franciulli from Wahoos 247 for the second annual UVA football season preview.
Preston, Greg and Jacquie start by offering their "One BIG Take" for the Cavaliers heading into the season, including depth and "no excuses". Then they dive into predictions for Virginia's schedule starting with the key game of the season, what happens in the Commonwealth Clash and finally record predictions.
Later they turn their focus to the stat book with predictions on which players will lead in rushing, receiving, tackles, sacks and interceptions. Finally, Preston, Jacquie and Greg log their predictions for offensive, defensive and special teams MVPs as well as "Under the Radar" players ready to break out.
Fall camp comes to an end with week one on the horizon, so Preston welcomes Kris Wright from The Sabre to recap an eventful training camp on this edition of The Camp Report.

Rodney shares about his decision post-retirement to step into the broadcast booth as a color analyst for weekly afternoon games on ACC Network. Preston and Rodney discuss the process from NFL Broadcast Bootcamp to auditioning at ESPN and now his preparation for the college football season.
Later Rodney talks about his expectations for the Cavaliers this season after talking with Tony Elliott and players at ACC Media Days. Then the guys go through some of the bigger headlines in the ACC and what stands out most to Rodney about college football in the decade-plus since he played at UVA.
