In this sermon of the series, "Summer in the Psalms," we read through Psalm 1 and attempt to answer these questions: Are we living in the image of God or are we like a chaff, and say we are our own god? Are we pouring into the Word of God and aligned with Him? Are we living in line with the Creator or not?

In this first sermon of the series, we discuss Psalm 81, which encourages believers to celebrate God, remember God's work, listen to God's correction, and to see God's heart.

Who do we trust? What should our communities see and know about us? What is something that is a marker of a Christian? Should a Christian be different than a lost person? As Christians, what or who should we be delighting in? Who should we trust and wait patiently for? Who should we focus on?

In the conclusion of the Sermon on the Mount series, we tackle the final two verses of Matthew 7: 28-29 where Jesus finishes the sermon. Jesus finished what He had to say before leaving earth. He will also finish what He has to say to us in this life. How will we respond? What does coming to Christ look like?

What do we have to surrender to be a disciple of Jesus? What is the will of the Father? Will you enter the kindgom and follow Jesus or walk away toward destruction? The choice is yours.

Why do people ask questions? What does it say about us if we are no longer asking questions? What are we seeking? What is "evil" and why does God allow it to exist? How is asking, seeking, and knocking connected to the golden rule?

How many of us have heard, "don't judge me" or "you're not supposed to judge?" How many of us struggle with judging others and being critical of others? Does our focus on the faults of others blind us to our own faults? How do we have a discerning spirit instead of a judgmental, critical, or condemning spirit? Pastor Clint Conner from Hope Church Martinsville, VA gives a message on these topics by diving into Matthew 7: 1-6.

What is anxiety? What causes anxiety? What doesn't cause anxiety? How many of us have anxiety because we are too focused on material things? How do we deal with our anxiety? What does Jesus have to say about anxiety?

What is fasting? What are we pursuing when we are fasting? What do people treasure? What "treasure" is in heaven? Does it really matter how we see the world? How do we "correct" our "vision?"
