Worship is a spiritual discipline that ought to never be overlooked, trivialized or catered to our whims. Rather, it is through worship that we begin to rightly see God. And when we have a correct view of God, we develop a proper view of ourselves.

Life in this world quickly teaches us that personal glory ough5t6 to be a personal goal. However, from Isaiah 42-8 we learn that God does not share his glory with us. From this OT passage to 1 Corinthians 1- 11 we learn more of what it means to live for God's glory rather than our own.

Is it possible to experience true contentment in a world that focuses on the latest and greatest and strives to convince us we don't have enough- Philippians 4-10 tells us that is absolutely is possible - shows us how.

Just as an athlete trains to master his game and hone his skills, so the Christian has to train to become who God calls on us to be. There are several disciplines for the Christian life that will train God's church to reflect God's image. In this series on Spiritual Disciplines we look at the first, and maybe most difficult discipline - prayer.

God has revealed himself to us in various ways. Have you ever considered that God's existence is evident through our work- Our work matters for numerous reasons, but it especially matters because through it we expose people to the reality of God.
