The hope that christians have in Christ is a hope that has both current and future implications. We have the hope now that we are God's children and that He is going to appear again soon. The future hope is that we will one day see Christ and as a result be like Christ. All of this hope motivates holiness as we pursue purity in anticipation of Christ's return.
