In John 3, Jesus has a conversation with Nicodemus about how to enter the kingdom of God.  In that chapter we get that well-known verse of John 3:16, which is known as the gospel in a nutshell.  However, there's a lot more gospel in this chapter than just that one verse. 

What does it mean that the Church is called "The Bride of Christ?"

Why did God give Spiritual gifts?  What was their purpose in the early church?  Do such gifts continue to exist today?  What role does love play in using the gits God has given us?

Jesus was tempted by Satan after 40 days and 40 nights of fasting.  What is this event all about?  What does it mean for us today? 

Psalm 51 is a great Psalm of repentance and the background leading to the writing of the Psalm shows just how merciful God truly is. 

What does God's Word say about "Spiritual Gifts?"  Why did God give these gifts?  How do they relate to the church? 

Peter thought he understood who Jesus was, but it was soon clear that he had a lot yet to learn.  In the transfiguration of Jesus we too are reminded that before we speak about Jesus we need to listen to Him. 

In the second part of the sermon on the mount Jesus used the law of God to show us just how sinful we truly are. Why does Jesus do that?  

In this culture of death we need to be reminded of how much God loves human life so that we can love and value the lives of others as God does. 

We examine the various teachings on the Lord's Supper that are commonly found in churches today as well as what God's Word actually tells us about the Lord's Supper.
