This week, we turn the tables as Chris makes Hope watch a cartoon! We watch one of Chris' favorite animated films:

Allegro Non Troppo!

We discuss how it's a big middle finger to Disney as a corporation, talk about each musical number in detail, and how it's still quite timely in 2020.

At the moment, you can find the entire movie on YouTube. Who knows how long it will be on there, so watch it now while you can!

It's not to be missed!

We did it! We've reached the end of season one of Gravity Falls as we tackle "Gideon Rises!"

The show really double downs on Gideon's evil, both twins get to shine, and this episode has one of the most real moments ever in the show.

But of course, we talk so much about THAT ENDING! How does that ending play for a fan watching for the first time?

Find out in this episode!

It's the episode that Chris has been waiting for! Hope Makes Chris Watch Cartoons takes a big step forward by introducing a new Big Bad:

Bill Cipher!

We really talk about Bill as much as we can without spoilers. Gideon is now marked in this Faustian story. Dipper and Mabel are playing opposite roles in this week's narrative. And of course, there is a very LONG speculation corner.

We're talking Gravity Falls "Dreamscaperers" this week!

Get ready to punch a pterodactyl in the face! Hope Makes Chris Watch Cartoons is talking about "Land Before Swine" this week!

We have come to the RISE OF HUNKLE STAN!

Stan being on the adventure changes the entire dynamic of the show. The B-Plot about Soos comes out of nowhere and feels forced. Man, Dee Bradley Baker acts the crap out of that pig.

Break out your early 2000's dance moves! We're talking Gravity Falls' "Boyz Crazy!"

Candy and Grenda shine in their roles checking Mabel. Dipper and Stan finally have an adventure together! Sev'ral Timez are a bunch of sweet babies. This episode has one of the best Soos moments of the season.

WENDY HAS EVERY RIGHT TO BE PISSED OFF!

It's time for a BODY SWAP ADVENTURE!

This week we're talking about Carpet Diem.

Chris is so excited that they found a secret room and speculates all about it. We discuss Mabel and Stan's relationship versus Stan and Dipper's. And we have a great time with the craziness of this one.

Body swap episodes are always fun!

Slap on your water wings, because we're diving into Gravity Falls "The Deep End!"

In this episode, Hope tells Chris some of the Gravity Falls AU's, Mr. Poolcheck is the scariest thing in this town, the Mystery Twins both lose this week, and I tell a story to my Patrons.

And so much more! Check it out!

This week, we tangent like crazy! Also, we discuss “Bottomless Pit!”

We debate which parts of the episode are canon, how to use unreliable narrators, and how self-aware the characters are in their own stories.

As for our personal tangents, Chris and I debate purity culture and the importance of storytelling, talk about Charles Fort, Amphibia, cat tips, and more!

It’s a doozy of an episode!
